Thesaurus Technology was established in 1999 and initially the software started life as a simple property uploader tool for the newly emerging property portals in the days of dial up internet.
The system was originally called ‘Connect DB’.
The software is developed and built upon to support agents with the management of their estate agency business. The system now enables you to generate brochures, letters and store vendors and purchaser details.
The system was now called ‘Housescape Universal’ and was being used by 100's of agents
Agents were looking to share data across multiple offices from a central location. With the increase in internet speeds and also their reliability, the need for a ‘cloud’ based system was apparent.
Thesaurus Technology then developed and offered agents a central system accessed over the internet.
The term ‘Housescape’ was dropped from the name and customers now had two choices:
The software now has a major new module released called ‘Universal Rentals Management’.
This new module now enables letting agents to manage their rental portfolio, landlord and tenants all in one place.
The software now offers a true sales, lettings and management module all under one system.
Both Universal Anywhere and Office are constantly being updated with customers now accessing the cloud based system on iPads, making use of social media links with Twitter and Facebook. Customer listings are now regularly being viewed on smartphones.
MRI Software ("MRI"), a global leader in real estate software solutions, announces the acquisition of Thesaurus Technology. MRI will continue to support all existing Thesaurus users, as well as bring benefits from the wider range of complementary software solutions in its suite.
